It is rumored that Brandi Carlile actually met Jonah in 2000 when they were both represented by Grady Chapman in Seattle and she came to his home studio at his mom's house in Phinney Ridge (Jonah was 16 at the time), where Carlile actually recorded some vocal takes on this song, along with another track! Whether those still exist on some hard drive somewhere is a mystery for another day...

Also, anyone notice what's going on with the time signature change? If you count really slow, it's still in sync, so it only really changes tempo from one perspective. The length of the bar remains constant throughout the song.
